Key Details About Ponmudi Dam:
Construction: It is a concrete gravity dam built by KSEB (Kerala State Electricity Board) as part of the Panniyar Hydroelectric Project.
Purpose: The water stored here is directed to the Velathooval Power House downstream to generate electricity.
